Hey there... since I feel that many of you guys know each other well, when there's people like me that don't know you well (or at all), I decided to put up this thread, so we can talk about ourselves. RULES 1. No flaming, demeaning, or anything. 2. No political posts. PZ&friends, you're free to post here, but only what is relevant to this thread. There are lots of threads where those remarks are more welcome. 3. IF PZ decides to junk this place, we'll just ignore him. Ok... I enjoy computers, enjoy SETI and BOINC. I enjoy Astronomy, Watching the skies with a cheap telescope my dad gave me a couple of years ago. I like electronics, and specially process control. I like linux over windows, sadly there aren't many games that are designed to run on linux. BTW, If this has already been addressed, please disregard. |

I like nostalgia hardware, slide rules, some good ol' hip-hop, the occasional Linux distro, and a good solid keyboard. Combinatorial mathematics, watching BCD clocks, bashing (or is that "bash-ing"), bangin' out some ML on a Sunday afternoon (or any day, really)... Breathing - I really like breathing, very addictive. Did I mention I code? Must've, surely... And movies. Kubrick, Kurosawa, Kevin Smith, Darren Aronofsky - 'specially À. Excellent flick. And every now and again I try to advance in "Gödel, Escher, Bach"... usually about a half a page before I get lost in the intricacies. Heckuva book, I tell 'ya. Some sci-fi... mostly ST:TNG/DS9 and Hitchhiker's Guide (terrible movie... awful). Some Dr. Who. Caffeine addict. Lotsa lotsa lotsa coffee, but goes with the Linux territorry, don't it? And Foamy. Good stuff. I think Pill-Z might've once been based on me... maybe in a future-past animé-esque lifetime. |

- Photography. Lots of photography. You wouldn't believe how many images I shoot in a year. Hell, *I* don't believe it. - Museums. Love, love, love museums. - Beadwork, although that's really fallen to the wayside in the last few years (directly related to the birth of my daughter, who will be 5 at the end of September). Every few months I do another small project. Years ago I went through beads like some folks go through water. - Anime! This is a new interest. I'm addicted to Cartoon Network. Fave shows: Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell, Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent. |

I like many of the British comedies out there as well as science fiction, auto racing (Nascar, Indy and IROC), computers, history as well as trying to keep up on what's happening in space science. Music does interest me and I listen to a wide range of things from classical to rock but rarely anything modern (post 1999). To truly explore, one must keep an open mind... |

My hobbies on the other hand are very similiar to another posters here. My ex always said I could have any hobby or interest I wanted to have except anything that annoyed her and that pretty much was everything. Kind of like the old Henry Ford line about being able to get a model T in any color you wanted as long as it was black. To truly explore, one must keep an open mind... |
