I have once again tried to get BOINC to connect from behind the proxy

(see original post http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=126).

Thanks to Merlin I can now get the application to get through the proxy initially so the client does the cpu benchmarking etc. However during this process it appears that the client_state.xml file is rewritten by seti boinc and the proxy server lines are deleted. I guess this will happen every time the file is updated.

Does anyone know how to make these 'stick'?
