Click on my sig, it will take you to the official FreeBSD [Unix] site. FREE! 3 files to download and then you need to burn each to it's own CD. One will be the boot CD, the second will be the install and the third all the extras that are distributed with it. Hang on a minute, I'm trying to find my starting point.... Ok go to linuxiso.org. Click the FreeBSD button and [if you're using an i386 machine] download the 3 files mentioned above.

I just started using it a little over a month ago and I really like it. Beats Windoze hands down.... >:-) Still trying to get BOINC to run. I know someone that already does run BOINC on it. Have fun....

A simple solution. Go to http://www.centos.org/, download the latest version on either CDs or DVDs, and install it. The installation is a breeze and you will not have any problems running Boinc/Seti.
