Have a look at the list of computers over at Einstein@Home for user ID 54612.

6083 of them all told :). All seem to have a single work unit. A fair bit of trashed work there....

Imagine the electricity bill if the list were real....
:).
Cheers,
Gary.

I'm somewhat skeptical. All of the host computers are identical. We've seen problems with a few host's replicating themselves thousands of times when there are network / PC problems. I think that's the case here as well. If not, power to the cruncher! He'll need plenty to keep that farm up and running!

Sure looks like the guy had problems with ONE system repeatedly registering.

Yes, I wasn't suggesting that this was a "real" farm :).

I'm interested that you say that something like this has happened before as I personally had not seen it. Was the issue ever resolved? Was there any indication or more details of what exactly the "network problem" was?
Cheers,
Gary.

If you had over 6300 computers going in your list, would you want to spend a fortnight merging them? ;)

Not really - It's one click for a host, one click on "Select All", and one click on the "Submit" button.

Methinks the CPU in question has gone rampant. Anyone wanna contact the owner?
