>>>We are back online after the backup. By virtue of the new scheduling server we are seeing no post-outage connection drops.

I have no idea where the rest of the message went.
The gist was that you guys deserve a keg party.

Indeed -- I'm impressed that we didn't see the post restart blues -- major improvement there.

Actually, we do have a weekend coming up. So the kegger may be a bit premature.

Seriously, I appreciated the more than minimal description posted during this period. I, for one, like to see the system management problems, observations, and resolution strategies made more public.

There has been an update in the Tech news about some of this, recently. It is nice to see the info they did put in there.

I am also very happy that the group has been working so hard on things. I am going to go out on a limb here and state that I think the past few weekends were partially problemmatic because users are over zealous and grabbing a lot of server and bandwidth, and maybe creating their own issues.

With the new update to the servers, I am going to predict that this weekend will be a stellar weekend, and all goes well. Kind of a "Father's Day" present from the child of Boinc Seti to Classic Seti, telling him he can finally retire.

Yes Well done guys. It was quite noticable how quickly things came up after the adjustments. You have had way too much bad luck as of late, the improvements should help in keeping Murphy at bay.
