Nobody should take offence from this, but I think that the best thing is to keep as quiet as possible. Because of recent website outages I have added the website status to the BOINC Project Status at http://boincprojectstatus.ath.cx. S@H status at http://boincprojectstatus.ath.cx/SS_SETI@Home.html Please use that website to the full extent and please would one of the mods sticky this! |

Because of recent website outages I have added the website status to the BOINC Project Status at http://boincprojectstatus.ath.cx. Fine, except that your status page doesn't seem to reflect the real situation. You say the download folder is accessible - but I cannot download work You say the upload folder is inaccessible - but I can upload work with one or two retries. I cannot seem to report work though, and your status page gives no indication why. |

Nobody should take offence from this, but I think that the best thing is to keep as quiet as possible. Because of recent website outages I have added the website status to the BOINC Project Status at http://boincprojectstatus.ath.cx. Sadly, the real situation cannot be reflected up to the minute! Otherwise it would produce a huge strain on my server. The situation is updated every 5 minutes and reflects the status accessing the servers from a UK connection. The download folder is accessible means the following: You should have no failed downloads. The upload folder is switching between accessible and inaccessible and my page cannot reflect in realtime and the reporting of work is done by the scheduler and the scheduler is down, therefore you are unable to report the work. |

The other thing is this question is asked several times, in several forums, every time. So why not READ other people messages, before spouting that it is down. Check the front page, sometimes there is a quick news item, and that item may just be prertinant enough to tell you what is up. Do not start a new thread each time. There are probably over 100 that ask the same "is it down?" question. Use one of those, at least it looks neater. My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |
