The scheduler is down, upload / download is hit or miss, and the main web site is having trouble. Sounds like what's become another typical weekend for the Seti project! :( I'm still a strong supporter, but this project is beginning to look like it's held together with spit and bailing wire...

Thanks to the team who pulled the weekend shift this time and are working to put things back together!

It seems they are doing everything they can to keep the server running right now. Looks like the OS upgrade didn't fix the problem(s) though. Not complaining, but it would be nice to see some technical news updates.

I'll throw together a tech news something or other tomorrow. Many, many separate issues going on at once. Basically, Classic is fading, SETI/BOINC is swelling, and this is the ugly period when we're trying to hold it all together without adding any new hardware into the fold. It's pretty tricky.

Anyway.. none of the problems of this weekend had to do with the UL/DL server and the OS upgrade, etc.

Hey well look on the bright side... at lease we know the "No schedulers responded" function works well *cheeky grin*
Cheers

Yep. Guess I picked the wrong weekend to install an optimized SETI client...

Ah -- it is YOUR fault! (smile).

At least the Einstein folks are getting new business...

nuh-uh, can't be. I only got the one work unit and I still haven't been able to upload it to see if it verifies.
Now if SETI comes crashing down after it receives my "tainted" work unit, I'll take full responsibility!

Maybe the optimization makes them go so fast you can't even see them?

I sorry your Einstein account is overdrawn. You can't Look for pulsars to solve space time equation.

Sorry, they ran out of bailing wire a while back! ;)

Be lucky
