I have a Mac with Tiger and a pc with XP and have set up BOINC on both, configured prefs and joined team, etc. but it doesn't appear to be doing anything! I had more than 9000+ hours as a classic Seti user but can't seem to get this new BOINC stuff to work. Where are the user instructions? What gives?

Ashtarinha,

They are having problems with the schedulers this weekend. Not very many people are getting work. If you just installed, yesterday or today, then you probably aren't getting work because the schedulers aren't responding.

If you are running the Advanced Macintosh GUI with BOINC Manager, click on the BOINC icon in menubar. Select "Open BOINC Manager".

It will take a several moments to come up. Once it does, click on the messages tab. That will show the messages and what is going on. It is helpful if we know what messges are there. (especially the ones in red).

To be sure you are connected to SETI, click on the projects tab. You should see SETI listed there.
Click on the "work" tab. Once you have received work, it will show in that window, and you can see the status of any work in progress.
