I have absolutely no idea what you dudes are up to. Where is the old interface, and the info that I got FROM the old interface?

Can't find ANYTHING!!!

If I can't figure out FAST what you folks are doing, I'm outta here! I have no desire to participate or contribute if I can't tell which end is up.

Be a little more specific in what you are missing. If it is stats, third party stats sites are quite a bit better - try http://www.boincstats.com or http://www.boincsynergy.com.

If it is something else, it is quite possibly findable, but we need to know what you are looking for in order to help.

I'm gone - it's not worth the effort to figure it out.

You guys have killed the goose that laid the golden egg and, now, you have egg on your faces. I'll bet you lose 50% of your volunteers.

Think you all missed the point at Berkley..

1). Seti was fun and simple now it is crap, the website is virtually 100% gobbldegook.

2). Our stats have been screwed up, there was a kind of fun game in watching that go up with our mates, totally independant of Berkely other than that they got FREE data analysis for their data packs.

3). There is not one sensible moderator come Berkley person who gives a heck talking to us.

4). Berkley expect us to adopt BOINC like we want it and the way we are forced to set parameters that let your software control our PC. Like Oh yeah! Really!

5). Berkley do not give a way of allowing users to say NO and have our details removed from the system which is indeed what I require of them.

6). The whole issue has been managed with total arrogance and disregard for the user. According the left panel I have no credits and no packs returned but since 2001 I've returned quite a few for a single user and I'm offended.

I'd like to swear at somebody and tell them to stick the system someplace that even ET wouldn't find it, but mainly I'd like to know that Berkely have deleted my login and all my details from their systems as I no longer consent to have anything to do with their project. But I can't get the message through or a reply can I. I think its the same for many others out here.

The stats shown on the forum are BOINC stats. Your classic stats are on your account page. I just checked, and yes, I'm duly impressed with your credits. (that's what you wanted wasn't it?)

YES, YES, at least I am not alone. We need to have a funeral. I LOVED Seti@home: a nice little app that sat there and crunched away without hurting anyone. And you killed it. Shame on you (who ever you are). Like the other fellow said: Yeah we'll turn control of our computers over to your fancy new projects: NOT! You've lost a good user: one that completed over 6000 units, and years of computing.

They didn't even have the decency to send an email about its demise...

"I no longer consent to have anything to do with their project. But I can't get the message through or a reply can I. I think its the same for many others out here."

Absolutely I can't agree more.

Bastards.

Evolved my ass: It is DEAD DEAD DEAD. The new pgm wants 50% of my hard drive space: this is not any sort of evolution of seti@home. Get real. This change sucks big time. I'm gone.

No, it does not want 50% of your HD space (unless you have a really tiny HD). It does allow you to set a limit as some projects DO use larger amounts of HD. BOINC S@H by itself uses less than 100MB with a rather large queue.

Classic is not quite dead yet. There have always been plans to send messages to all of the active users, but that step has not happened yet.

BOINC is a nice little app that can crunch for several science projects concurrently. After you set it up, you can usually leave it alone for quite a long time crunching away in the background.
