Is there a problem when u add too much thermal paste to the heatsink? and if it is.. how can u fix it?

Yes, too much paste can prevent proper contact between the heatsink and the chip.

Generally, you can just wipe the excess off with tissue, I usually use some surgical spirit if it's dried-out.

With a thermal compound like Arctic Silver, you are supposed to rub the paste in leaving really only just enough to fill any manufacturing flaws or marks - like the fine lines left after a milling operation.

Isopropyl Alcohol works best (to remove excess thermal paste), and evaporates quickly after cleaning. Use cotton swabs, and use any liquid sparingly and with proper precautions around ANY electrical equipment.
It is a sad sad day when someone takes your spoon away from you...
