I have a few WU's like this.
Everyone gets validate error, is this from one bad result or did all the machines screw them up?????

Or is this my PC's fault???????
These are the first validate errors I have had with Seti.

This does happen sometimes. Some data just wont produce compatible results due to (chaotic?) complexity.
What should happen is the Validator should trigger several further copies of the work be sent out and continue to try and get a concensus of 3 WUs.
If by the time it had compared 7(?) and not got 3 that agree it will give-up.

Yes, these things can happen, but today there are lots of validate errors all of a sudden... I think something went wrong before/after the outage. The WU's I looked at had validate errors from other PC's too - not just mine.

My machines are having validate problems and also a lot of client errors. (some machines have had up to 10 in the last 2 days)

Is anyone else having this as well?

I have checked and some people are getting these units ok and crunching them.

Seeing the same thing here:

As long as all others have the same problem with the workunit, I'm not worried. Bit of a shame though for the wasted cpu-time...

Greetings,

I too have currently one "validation error" work unit.

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=17177315

Fortunately most of the units seem fine, maybe this could be an error with validator (due recent problems) or maybe those units just have lot's of noise or something.
