> If SETI does snapshot, will the data be updated on our accounts, even though > we may have changed email, names, ect, on bothe accounts? I wouldn't count on it. This sort of data tracking management doesn't seem to exist at present with the Seti program. But if I could have a wish, I'd like to see some additional info on the final seti classic snapshot: Total WU's processed by this user # of cpu processing time # of WU's processed twice by this user # of WU's processed thrice by this user # of WU's processed four times by this user # of WU's processed five times by this user # of WU's processed > five times by this user # of cpu processing time wasted due to duplication Would be interesting to really see how redundant Seti Classic was getting. |

Common sense says that they will do a last snapshot. But past experience says it's looking rather iffy. |

It just seems to me that 5,000 WU's under the old seti was the minimum to be taken seriously that you were somewhat commited to the work, and even this was sorta a newbie status for most crunchers. I'm not sure how it's going to play out for BOINC though with the funny ways it gives out credit in such large numbers but I'll assume average credit is going to be a big part of it. I would like to see a site that keeps track of ALL BOINC totals. It's obvious that with so many projects coming up on BOINC that there should be some repository of the total credits done and some sort of site to take care of this would be nice and perhaps a GLOBAL award for ALL BOINC work done would be nice to have. |
