Hi, I've just installed boinc4.43 on Slackware 10.1 running KDE 3.3.2

I upgraded from 4.19

When I open a menu in boincmgr, the menu often remains open unless I click a menu item. Clicking somewhere else in the desktop sometimes helps, but not always.

I'm running X11R6.8.1 with the standard XOrg radeon driver on a 9600XT.

I don't know if this is a known problem but I did'nt find a reference to it on a quick search.

Thanks in advance :)

Edit: running kernel 2.4.29
Edit: I'm still a bit of a linux newbie :)

Thanks for the input. I'm running a Slack 10.1 box, too, so I'll avoid the 4.43 release (which caused me problems on my Windows boxes).

Its not a major issue, just an annoyance with the boinc manager. No problems with the scheduler (yet) :)

EDIT: See you wrote BOINCprog - very handy :)

Same bug with Mandrake 10.2 running KDE 3.3.2. Not a major issue.

Thanks. :-) I'm still using BOINCprog with the 4.19 CC. I hope that it continues to be useful for at least some of us.

I'm leery of trying 4.43 on Linux in case it decides to download extra CPDN units, as happened on a slowish Windows system here. That Windows box will never manage to finish crunching the second CPDN unit in time ... :-\

BTW, I've upgraded BOINCprog 1.1.4 so that it properly handles the change in data type for report_deadline in client_state.xml in CC4.43. BOINC Manager is nice for doing stuff, but for just a quick eyeball of whether BOINC is working as it should, I still think BOINCprog is useful. Hence, the update.

Cheers!
