Just a few minutes ago I finally posted a question on the bulletin board and I noticed that on the left-hand side where it showed my name it also said that I had zero credits. Doesn't the workunit credits that I had under the classic S.E.T.I. program transfer over to the B.O.I.N.C. version? Gaylon Tiry |

Doesn't the workunit credits that I had under the classic S.E.T.I. program transfer over to the B.O.I.N.C. version? No. Classic credits will show up as classic credits in your account, but they don't get "converted" to BOINC credits. Check your "Account" page "Account Statistics" section. If you've linked the 2 accounts the classic credits may show up in BOINC right away, or you may have to wait for SETI to do a batch update of classic credits, I can't remember how it works. Classic and BOINC WUs are 2 different animals so you can't convert credits between classic and BOINC. Lots of threads on this subject if you seach the forums. http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_text_search_form.php Also see http://boinc-doc.net/index.php for general BOINC info and help. Help and BOINC documentation is available here. |

To add to dave015702's answer. BOINC do occasionally copy over the SETI classic WU count into your BOINC account details. It takes a lot of resources to do this so it is not done very often (last time was 15th March). For sure it will be copied over for a final time when SETI classic is finally closed down. Some of the stats addons also include a seti classic WU count; e.g. the one I use boinc synergy at http://www.boincsynergy.com. If you want a more up to date total of all BOINC projects and SETI classic take a look at one of the add-ons such as BOINC Synergy. |
