Since both upgrading to Tiger and Boinc 4.43 I've had a few problems with Boinc and not Seti...
I currently run all 4 public Boinc projects. I've noticed that Einstein and Predictor both tend to hog the CPU once they are running and not relinquish it to let the other projects have their share. Have other people experienced this and found solutions?

Also Climate Prediction refuses to run. |'ve downloaded and reset the project several times. In the Boinc manager window it says it is runningn but looking at activity monitor CPU usage is 0%.

Einstein also refuses to stop running even when issuing 'suspend' command/button. It syas suspended but activity monitor proves not and it will run multiple instances of einstein and/or other projects.

Finally Boinc manager has a ery large CPU overhead for an application I would think is not doing much ie around 15-20% on a 1GHz machine. Have others noticed this?

Seti Project appears to work well with Tiger and 4.43.

I have similar problems, but slightly different in the details. I am running OS 10.3.9 and Boinc 4.43, subscribed to SETI@home and ClimatePrediction. On my Powerbook 1GHz machine Setiathome_4.18 runs constantly, despite my preferences being for it to stop when the user is active and/or on battery. And, like Einstein on your machine, Setiathome_4.18 will not respond to the "suspend" command.
Also, ClimatePrediction hasn't worked in over a week, despite resets.
On my machine The Boinc Manager typically uses about 8-10% of CPU time. So does Microsoft Word, in the background, with no documents open. Sad that Boinc Manager would be as bad as Word...

BOINC Manager has a known problem with the suspend/pause routines - anyway, it's known to many of the users...

You can cause BM to stop using CPU cycles by closing the window, if I remember correctly. Once it's running, click the RED button so the window closes. This should not cause BM to stop running, but it will stop all of its CPU activity. My machine at home is running SETI/EINSTEIN using BM. SETI pauses nicely, but EINSTEIN continues to run. So far, both seem to do ok while running simultaneously - I have not seen any "client error" problems for either client.

Hope this helps...
