I am using the Classic version because I couldn't get the new one to load ... what must I do to receive credits for my Work Units?

S@H classic credits are not the same thing as Boinc credits.
The only way to get Boinc credits is to run Boinc I'm afraid.
Perhaps if you post the problems you had getting Boinc to work someone can give you a solution?

(Oh, + some Classic WUs too.)
