even if we find a signal seti never gone give credit too the persons in question.or contact the press the world is not redy for that !! onles you whant MASS PANIC

Why would you want this in the first place? Altruism aside, the point of the project is a collaborative effort in finding the signal. If anything, the odds are that not one person but 3-5,(depending on the number of WUs returned for that one part of a signal) will be given notation in the logs for any interesting signal. SETI Classic demonstrated this. To say that they won't be given credit is rather spurious of you. Do you know for sure?

The Press pretty much is ready and willing to report the news, as what happened last winter, but once again, nothing happens. If it is official and released under the agreement for ET Contact, then you'll see a pique in interest, money shifting into science, but not a whole lot more. We made contact but we won't understand what it is for years to come, even longer to send a reply and then wait for a return if they are still there. No Mass Panic at the moment of Contact. We'll have mass panic at the moment they ARRIVE.
