Hey Paul, I've been meaning to ask you. Who'd you get to post some minor credit for you so that it looks like you are crunching for BOINC/SETI? You have NO computer[s] listed and yet you show that you have 11 credits. I really don't believe that to be very fair to those of us that legitimately crunch work units for BOINC/SETI, who unerringly donate our hard earned CPU cycles to the science. Do you?

I seem to remember you being offered the ability to legitimately crunch WUs for BOINC/SETI and yet you declined. Is it the politician in you that makes you do such dastardly deeds?

Absolutely! You and Pauly-poo can believe whatever you wish--this is a free country. But (you knew there was going to be a "but"), two things: one, when I disagree, and give my reasons, why should I just sit and take it when I am called a fool; and two, why should someone who refuses (yes, I am using that word right) to crunch for BOINC use this facility to spout his nonsense, over and over, without regard for the feelings or thoughts of others?

I have other concerns about what Pauly-poo does here, but think for a while about those two points.

Carl as a human being you have the right to beleive what you wish, as I and other have the right to disagree with what you beleive. However, after a while spewing the same antiquated news over and over and over telling us how you feel gets old.

We know Paul doesn't like Presidents Bush Policy. Hell I don't like them all either. We don't need to be reminded of his dislike of Bush's policy 20 times every day.

There is an Anime Series called "Full Metal Jacket" It's about a young alchemist trying to restore what he foolishly lost. In the begining of each show the mention the First Rule of Alchemy. I think it modified form applies here. Equivilent Exchange. If you are going to use a resource you should at least participate in the science that the resource supports.

OK Carl, this is exactly what I’m talking about: Pauly-poo’s latest. This post of his was right after my response to him. He ignored my response, did not give any reason why I was wrong, and called me (or supposedly, anyone who agreed with the position I had just posted) . . . an idiot.

This is the “friend” you support and defend. It makes you look as foolish, when you refuse to see his faults. I think that this exchange, going on right here in this thread, is an honest effort by you to understand the anger Pauly-poo attracts.

I didn't call anyone an idiot, I said their argument was idotic and I gave my reasons. You ignored my argument and then you said " . . . more idiots, pay no mind." Posting that right after my argument, you can say that it was not directed at me and my response, but as you were "pay[ing] no mind" to my post, it clearly didn't mean anything else. So, you were trying to be clever, toss out an insult that you can then deny--how very politician-like of you. You remember "deniability" don't you, the term Nixon used in Watergate? Who are your heros again?
