Janus backed out the changes I made that caused the oddball scrolling in IE this morning... as soon as the S@H administrators switch over to using the latest PHP code, things should be normalish here.

I'm yet to be convinced of the so called greatness of mozilla...call me a heretic.

Once "send image" in firefox equals the equvalent in IE then I'll be a believer too.

Now, would y'all be so kind as to check and see if you see these problems on my test forum so I can perhaps see if it's S@H specific or something people on the test forum just missed?

For the few of us who have make sure you put our names up in lights!

I haven't come across any pages that don't load correctly...

How about windowsupdate and officeupdate?

I just checked the test forum, and it had scroll bars on the individual posts, and a very wide horizontal scroll. Just like on this forum.

I think this is a conspiracy to get more FireFox users. LoL

I use both firefox and ie, it just depends where i'm going. I like firefox for a long time but it still has a few quirks that bother me, like when you go back a page it goes to the top of page instead of where you where on the page. But like Boinc it is also a work in progress.

98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

The sooner the better.
I've been off line for a few days & till this problem is fixed the forums are unusable for me. I may kill the signature display till then; we'll just see how long i'm able to stay online for.

One additional problem at the Q&A forum: when posting an answer, the answer is posted without problems but on
top of the thread a windows opens right after posting the answer to make a reply on the thread. In addition,
above the thread following appears
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started
at /disks/koloth/a/inet_services/boinc_www/share/projects/sah/html/inc/util.inc:103)
in /disks/koloth/a/inet_services/boinc_www/share/projects/sah/html/user/forum_reply.php on line 89

Also, the post that has been posted can not be edited right away. The thread must be closed and then
opened again in order to edit your own post.

One other remark: the rating symbol on the posts in the message boards can not be seen,
although they are present when placing the mouse at their location.

For info: using break tags in this post.

I am also seeing this particular behavior. I'm using Netscape 7.2 on Windows 2000 Pro here.

What annoys me most is the changes to the forums in the last couple weeks has cause something to steal the focus. So, after the scroll down ends I have to click on the window again to enable mouse-wheel scrolling ... :(

Except for Paul's comment about focus stealing and needing to click in order to get the mouse wheel scrolling. I've got exactly that problem too.
Cheers,
Gary.

Focus stealing is one of my pet peeves ... it is one of the reasons that I have not been fond of most Microsoft products ... it happens all the time with them.

I switched my "Sigs" back on and noticed that the forum format is still broken (from my perspective). Is this going to be fixed soon?

I was under the impression Janus had fixed it...

Are people still seeing the super-wide behavior in Internet Exploder?

The only thread I've seen that goes "wide" is this one:

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah/forum_thread.php?id=13750

All the rest of the threads look fine, no matter if sigs are "on" or "off"
