I down loaded bonic a couple of days ago. It downloaded and processed 3 work units, which it then discarded (didnt upload), since then it has not downloaded any new work units (none available, backing off etc). I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it then downloaed 2 work units which it started to process, and they also vanished at about 80% complete. No log no upload. since then nothing. no further work units fetched. I have returned to the classic version and this still works correctly, so I will not be going over to boinc. How long before the classic is switched off? boinc is not ready as far as I can tell. :( |

Just because, you have had a rought time with BOINC doesn't mean it will always be like this. You should have join earlyer, 3 or 4 days with out sending out WU, and website down for days at a time and then not recieving keys ect. When SETI is shutdown BOINC should be working fine, or maybe a week after the closing because it will be able to use the old servers. Nobody knows when Seti will be closed, i hope soon so we can have pending credit ect. |

What do you mean discarded? It doesn't just discard WUs. Do you have any more info? <a> [/url] |

I have been supporting this project for a long time, since it was on Tomorrows World in the UK. > You should have join earlyer, ... As soon as I found out about it, I downloaded and tried the program. That was on Sunday night. > ... 3 or 4 days with out > sending out WU, and website down for days at a time and then not recieving > keys ect. Im not interested in the other project, (the protein one), but at the moment for me its unusable. |
