For some reason I can download and upload workunits without problems, but my WU never gets reported, so I have a bunch of WU nearing the deadline. Would I still get credit if it's uploaded but not reported?

The return of a WU is a two step process:

Step one: Upload the WU

Step two: Report the WU go to Projects tab, select "Seti at home" (highlighted blue) then click "Update Project".

are you on dial up?

does this help?

You would propably not get credit if they are reported after the deadline. I don't know if you've tried clicking on Update under the projects tab (the scheduler should be up and running at the moment) but I gather you have, the title of the thread in mind ;)

A few days ago we experienced something at einstein@home, but I don't know that somehow got to seti, but it doesn't hurt to try ;) Try to go to your account page, click on the general preferences link, click Edit preferences and then click the Update preferences button (no need to change anything), and then try to click Update under the Projects tab in the manager. Just a thought I had, and it may not apply, but as I sayd, it doesn't hurt to try :) If it works, please report back (and of course if it doesn't as well ;))

I tried your idea, but it didn't work
I had the same problem with predictor before and the only way to fix it was to detach from the project and then reattach, which pretty much kills all your workuints. I think the problem with predictor was that the project URL changed or something. I was wondering if this would work for SETI, or if there was another way to rectify the problem.

And oh yeah, I am on a dial up, which is crappy even more cause downloading many workunits takes a long time.

Another odd thing is when I ping the scheduler, it responds very quickly less than 200ms. There might be something wrong with boinc but I just downloaded version 4.25 since i just had 4.19 and I though a version upgrade might solve the problem, but no dice.

I detached from the project and then attached to seti again. Apparently, simply resetting the project isn't enough. About 13 WU were lost in the process, but oh well.
