Hello BioCreator,

as Boinc is a plattform for multiple projects, which of them is it, that you don't like?

This is a scientific, non-profit, underfunded project, that has to deal with a nonforgiving, ruthless, eager community, and this time with some strange demands from their university. Look at the Homepage and the Technical News for information to the recent problems. Most of them were not caused by the team, but by third party.

I will never expect 24/7/365. That's impossible, and unnecessary. It's not a bank. I expect a decent behaviour, I take care of expected outages by attaching to more then one project.

okay, I'm not a techie so I'm having problems with this message thing. But I sort of understand his problem. I had seti classic and loved it. I felt like I was participating in something important. Didn't care about the credit or number of projects completed or whatever. I just knew that I was helping.

So BOINC comes along and says SETI classic is being disconitnued and you have to upgrade to this one and uninstall Seti classic. So I did as the directions indicated to upgrade to this because the other was going away.

So far I don't like it. All I want to do is participate in seti at home. That's all. No other projects. Now I can't figure out how this one works. Before I could tell by the icon in my tray what was going on and when to submit my data and request another project. BOINC just sits there. I don't think I'm participating in anything. And the website isn't very friendly to navigate to non-techinical, non-science folks like myself. So yeah, perhaps this site needs to be left to those a lot smarter than this grandmother and more scientifically inclined. I hate that too. I really loved being part of something bigger than myself.
