Sir Ulli, aren't you a bit confused having that many tabs with webpages going at once? I start out with 6 and seldom go over 8. In that image, you have 24. >:-O

My desktop backdrop, compressed a bit, is currently in my profile.

[512×384] Cropped for 1280×854 and displayed "stretched to fit". That way when my resolution changes, the image will always be the right aspect ratio on the monitor.

Here's mine, at 640x480. Rather appropriate for SETI, methinks.

(And yes, when it comes to this, I'm definitely old-school!)

That's mine at work.

[640x510]

I like to change the desktop frequently, so it will look different next week methinks.

My real 'desktop' is merely a place shared by my computer along with mountains of paper, file folders, .....batteries for the wireless mouse, speakers, a printer and other peripherals and the attending wires, ..... receipts, invoices, tax summaries, accounting books, bank deposit bags, bills and investment summaries, ....various newspapers, periodicals, reference books and trade journals.

Yep, it's a cluttered mess.... everytime I clear it up it devolves right back to form.

It's a good thing I don't drink coffee because there's hardly room for a coffee cup. If I quit smoking, I suppose I could put a cup where the ashtray is.

(the backdrop picture on my screen cycles through a 'family' photo album, it's constantly changing and updated regularly, .....other than drive icons, the various folders and document icons come and go as well)

Hmmmm.... Your version must have come from a different source than mine. I don't remember, off hand, where I found mine. I like the small inset on yours.

Nope, never been to that sight. I'll see if I can find where I found it.

Here is one of mine. Not that spectacular but I thought there should be at least one Gnome entry with all the Windows.
