> I've just tried to rate a post and been refused due to my RAC being "Too Low" > .... Hey Kieth. This is a new "feature" that the dev guys have been trying to implement because we get too many trolls here posting and not crunching for the project. These same trolls just seem to thrive on wreaking havok rather than participating. I'm not sure what the minimum RAC is. But, I do know this. It's not working quite right. We have one person here that hasn't crunched a single WU for the project and yet he can still post in the fora. His RAC is 0. Go figure.... L8R.... I would say you are doing something wrong....... Merge the three duplicate computers and do a fresh install of 4.25..... Remove boinc completly first...... I bet there is a compuer genuis here that can figure it out.. You just need to "YELL LOUDER" |

> I've just tried to rate a post and been refused due to my RAC being "Too Low" I hit the same thing... if it does it to you again on Saturday, bug me about it (email and IM info here) and I'll in turn bug other people about it. Really, I don't think post rating should be a RAC-limited thing... maybe I'll cut that code out and offer the patch to Dr. Anderson. FWIW, I can't rate posts now, either... too busy crunching on pre-release projects to get very much S@H done. :-) Rob |

I just rated a post and it was successful. Then again, I have a pretty good RAC. >;-) EDIT: Both negative and positive. /EDIT: L8R.... And what about the minus attack's I (and others) have been exposed to here??? Huh??? People like the K's could come here, make multiple account and rate my posts to collaps one by one! Honestly, I think the rating system has overlived itself after we got the ignore function! My "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me |

Hard to say... at least you should be able to rate if you can post. I still really like the rating system, too... I hope to find the time this summer to implement some changes that might make it more valuable when it comes to troll smashing. Rob |
