They are going to have an Outage tomorrow for atleast Several Hours. April 21, 2005 We will be having a several hours long outage tomorrow for a full database backup. Exact time and duration to be determined. Similiar things have gone into Overtime and into the Weekend. It would be safe to grab a few days worth more of Work Units. |

Or rather than placing the seti servers under more load you could just sign up with another BOINC project! :p A member of The Knights Who Say NI! For rankings, history graphs and more, check out: My BOINC stats site |

Does anyone know if this outage tomorrow will include the seti classic? Along those lines does anyone have any hard info on when the Seti Classic will finally be shutdown. George Poland |

Your guess is as good as anyone elses... unless the guess is made by SETI staff... and even those are sketchy at best... |

> Does anyone know if this outage tomorrow will include the seti classic? > Classic and Boinc/Seti DB's are seperate. I'd assume its just boinc. |

Is it possible to setup a machine to download around 10 WU's then have my client machines access my server instead of the Seti WU server? <img src="http://boincwapstats.sourceforge.net/counter_detailed.php/id:8087173/project:seti/p.png"> |

Go to "Your account" "Preferences" "General" and choose "View or edit general preferences" which brings you here. Change the "Connect to network about every" xx days to some 1 or 1.5 days. Afterwards in Boinc Manager (assuming you are using this) you will need to do an "Update project". After doing that, Boinc will download the next time a certain amount of WU's. Have a look how much, you can still adapt it once again by doing exactly the same. |

Why are you worried about stocking up on work? The outage was the other day. LoL 98SE XP2500+ @ 2.1 GHz Boinc v5.8.8 And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer. |
