Since SETI guys recently moved Classic SETI accounts to BOINC (some weeks ago), my account creation date moved from nov.2004 to 1st april 1999.
Seems it also happened to many accounts, but can't find anyone reporting it...

What happened ? any fix to that ?

It has been posted here before, but I have not seen any comment from the developers regarding a fix. Would be nice to get it sorted though.

Welcome to the class of Apr. 3. 1999 (in the export-xml it’s the 4.) (21137 members now) ;)

Look at my date and at my sig ;)

It started with the second classic update, and some adjustments because of date errors. The 'adjustments' with me (and you obviously) didn't work out that well ;)

It's been a topic on several threads. and will probably be sorted some time in the future.

But I agree with Mike nevertheless: Hello, dev! Any news?

What I noticed by earlier posts regarding this was that the wrong dates occured for those who hadn't been running seti classic or didn't use the "transfered" account. I'm not sure this is the actual case, but if it is there might be a problem with fixing it.

I say this as they did try to fix it - everyone had the same creation date at the time, but after the first fix only the ones with all "new" boinc accounts had wrong dates (again, as I noticed scrolling through posts). So it could be a case of overwritten dates - and the correct ones may not be retrievable for other accounts than those with a seti classic account "linked" to their current one.

(the first wrong creation date was April 1st 1999, and after the first fix those left with wrong dates had April 3rd)

It's the case with me. I never had an account in classic, I saved my join date from Neils banner I used at the time of the mess-up, and which for about a week or so still had the right date. I've put it now manually in my sig.

On my side, the problem occurs on a "fresh" account, as my Classic account was unreacheable because of a long time dead e-mail address...
