On my Windows 2000 machine, my BOINC 4.25 Screensaver wait-time resets itself from the 5 minutes I set it to the default 9999 intermittently. It happens pretty consistently after a boot, but also during the day. I am talking about the Settings-Control Panel-Display-Screen Saver "Wait", not the BOINC Setings... Minutes until Blank. No problem on my WIN XP1 machine. BESTEST! |

> > Bump. > Sorry Grant - I do not understand you. Do you mean that it is "one of those things"? I suppose that it is especially since I'm running an antiquated version of Windows. BTW I once lived 6 years in the NT - but Canada's version - the NWT - North West Territories - I suppose that the climate is a bit different between Yellowknife and Darwin! BESTEST! |

It's just to brign the thread up to the top of the list so others can see it & help out if possible. > BTW I once lived 6 years in the NT - but Canada's version - the NWT - North > West Territories - I suppose that the climate is a bit different between > Yellowknife and Darwin! At one stage while living here Dad almost got a job somewhere in Northern Central Canada. We would have been going from 34° maximums, 28° minimums to somthing like -30° minimums & -10° maximums. Hey - when things get colder you can always put on another sweater - but when things get hoter, there is a limit to how much you can take off!! > > At one stage while living here Dad almost got a job somewhere in Northern > Central Canada. It is still happening - my Screensaver on WIN2K has itswait-time intermittently reset to 9995 minutes from the 5 that I set it. There appears to be no pattern to when it happens. Any ideas? BESTEST! |
