Hi, Welcome to Boinc.

I have looked at your puters. I did this by clicking on your name in the left column of this board. Don't worry your personal info IP addy and other personal info isn't available to anyone but you. Click on my name to see the difference.

According to Seti you have yet to return a single WU on time. There is a 2 week deadline. In general you won't get credit for WUs that are returned late. You also have 17 Wu that will be due tomorrow. I hope you crunch fast. Otherwise some of these will also be late.

Paul Buck has a website that will answer many of your questions and you can find it here.

He has 700+ pages of info on Boinc.

If I can be of any other assistance feel free to ask.

I didn't know I had to return workloads on time?

I have 1,125 credits at the moment so I have been doing some workloads.

I set the amount of time boinc connects to 10 days so I could download lots of workloads, now I have put it back to default.

Do me a favor, Which Boinc CC (core client) are you using? 4.19, 4.25, etc? Click on "Work" tab, then look at the status column. If any read "ready to report" then you need to click on the "Projects" tab, then highlight "Seti" then click "Update-retry now".

tony

PS let me know if there were any reading "ready to Report"

If you upgrade to Boinc CC version 4.25 (which is now a Official release) you'll be able to "Abort" the WUs which you know you can't possibly complete in time. It's not good to trash WU, but when you find the Sweet Spot for your "Connect to" setting, things will Smooth out for you. if you do install 4.25 or higher, remember to use the Windows Uninstaller to remove 4.19 prior to the install of the new 4.25 versions.

If you have any other questions,

I'm here

tony

PS the Over no reply New, means you didn't report on time, it includes the deadline date to the left of it.

10 is a pretty high number. Eventually, BOINC will "converge" on the right amount of work for you based on how much your machine is on, how long it takes to return work, etc. and it'll all work out fine.

If you only crunch SETI, you might want to try "3" or "4"

If you want to crunch several projects, then the default is actually quite good.

The upgrade to 4.25 was to allow you to abort the WU that you can't possibly finish.

are you saying when you click on your name in the Left column of this thread, that you can't see your stats/results?

thedoors27

I checked your computers and I see you aborted ALL your WUs, have you reset your "connect to" setting to something more reasonable? You only needed to abort the ones you couldn't finish.
