When I installed BOINC on my home computer, I chose to run it as a service (win XP pro), but also elected to have the boinc manager launch on start up. Can someone tell me how (in windows xp) to get it to stop launching automatically at startup? It doesn't appear to be an option from within the boinc manager, but must be something I could control through windows.

go to
start>run

and type in "msconfig"

go to the "startup" tab

Find "BOINC" and uncheck the box next to it

hit "okay" and restart your computer

a dialog box will pop up -- tell it not to come up again and hit "OK"

you should be all set to go.
