Is there any way to sort team stats either by "Total Credit" or "Recent average credit" (high to low)? Preferably "Total Credit".

The current sort order appears to be the same as the team sort order for SETI-Classic.

The SETI@Home project only provides basic statistics, as you've noticed. There are other sites that grab data and put them into the stats that hard-core numbers fans like to see.

BOINCStats gives you a sortable table to play with. Look on the left side of the page for the project you're interested in, and click to see what lists are possible.

BOINC Synergy gives you similar information, also sortable.

Each site gives the basic team info, plus other, different detail for each, and for all the currently active BOINC projects.

There may be other sites with these stats, but these two are the ones I refer to regularly. With great appreciation for their work!

Thanks MJ, but I must observe that the stats provided on the SETI-Classic webpages by SETI-at-home ARE sorted (high to low) by total workunits completed.

Sorry, I was only referring to the SETI-BOINC stats, that you were asking about.

I know I've seen somewhere on these boards what the sort pattern is, but it doesn't seem to match the classic sort (at least for the team I'm on). The sites I linked in my other message start with a sort by total, with the ability to change to a sort by recent credit. Those are the places to go to find that information.

MJ,

Compare the order of the names for your SETI-BOINC team to the order of the names on your SETI-Classic team, eliminating any SETI-Classic people that do not have any SETI-BOINC credits.

The names should be in (pretty much) the same order. Specifically the SETI-BOINC order by name is the same as the SETI-Classic order by name, which in turn is ordered (high-to-low) by number of classic workunits crunched.

It is almost as if the 'snapshot' of SETI-Classic is used to order the team stats for SETI-BOINC.

I did that, and some of the names are in reversed order. One person who is just after me on the BOINC list is just above me on the Classic list. There's at least one other mis-sort of this type in our short team list. Close, but not quite the same.

The sorting is after the id, for "classic" accounts the id is the same as rank in "classic" when the stats was imported into the BOINC-database 14.05.2004.
For later added users, it will be sorted after their join-date.

Since it is the "Official" stats page should be more accurate.
In my team one member with 0.08 credit is before me (and other) with 21000 credit!

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/team_display.php?teamid=32119

I think it should be rearanged on daily basis, by the Seti-Boinc credit.
Or if you want, give 20 credits for one old unit and do the sorting after credits...
It's frustrating to see users that are not active anymore (0 average credit)stuck up high.

Hello all,

I think the task distribution here at Boinc works fine:

The project teams does the science, the application coding, and they deliver the raw data for the statistics. They even include some rudimentary statistics on the site as well.

The eager community delivers all kind of statistics, banners, competition, gadgets...you name it, it's probably already there.

IMHO they could skip the stats here alltogether, but that's just my personal view.

For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki

Then skip them... how it is now is worse than anyother solution.
