Right now I am running SETI@Home and Protein Predictor -- both have been set to use 50% of the CPU. However... the BOINC Client seems to give all of the CPU time to SETI, then randomly switches and gives all of the CPU time to Predictor... it keeps on switching back and fourth... etc... any ideas? |

Hi Zaphirer, it sounds like it's working like it was designed to. The Resource Shares setting refers to the amount of time spent on a project, not the amount of CPU. Boinc only runs one project at a time, then switches back and forth based on the interval specified in "Switch Between Applications" under general preferences (usually 60 minutes). Dig |

Oh, ok... thanks for the clarification. I thought that it would run both projects at once, giving each 50% of the CPU power... thanks for the advice. |
