Are you saying that you're using the Boinc Core Client Version 4.25, and have recently been switched from the Seti Application version 4.09 to version 4.10, and aren't seeing the graphic display anymore? Thanks tony |

Didzis, If you installed BOINC 4.25 as a service in Windows, you can't view graphics. Read about Service installation here |

Just downloaded 4.10 restarted my computer still states that I am using 4.09. Got this message from the software, Can't open init data file - running in standalone mode SETI@home error -5 Can't open file (work_unit.sah) in read_wu_state() errno=2 File: \Boincsrc\Main\seti_boinc\client\worker.cpp Line: 103 What is the problem? |

HMMM, I'm not a programmer or super boinc genious (like some on these boards). That being said; I still have 4 Wus that are of the 4.09 type, I also have downloaded 4.10 .Exe and .PDB files, and also have one 4.10 wu. Is something you're doing eliminating the 4.09 EXE and PDB files? You shouldn't need to restart. The WU will use the appropriate EXE file when it finally starts crunching. does this help? tony |

I have the same graphics problem....it worked with 4.09 but not 4.10. I'm running Boinc 4.25 on a single user installation. |

Out of interest, what kind of videocard are you (who don't have graphics all of a sudden) using? |

> Out of interest, what kind of videocard are you (who don't have graphics all > of a sudden) using? > ATI Radeon 9800 128MB AGP Perhaps I'll download the latest drivers. EDIT: Driver version updated to 6.14.10.6517 Still not working...not getting graphics for any project (SETI, Einstein or CPDN) |

> Just downloaded 4.10 restarted my computer still states that I am using 4.09. The Seti application is WU specific. Boinc will automatically download v4.10 if the WU was created to use it. You'll still have to process all the v4.09 WU's that you have in your queue. |

> SETI@home error -5 Can't open file > (work_unit.sah) in read_wu_state() errno=2 > > File: BoincsrcMainseti_boincclientworker.cpp > Line: 103 This is the kind of output written to stderr.txt if you: a.) doubleclick on the exe in the projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu folder b.) run the exe in a command prompt > What is the problem? Depends on what you did? ;-) As mentioned below, once your wu's that require 4.09 are completed, work will commence on the wu('s) downloaded together with 4.10. You don't need to do anything else. |
