What is this Disable BONIC Network Access in the bonic seti program?

Can someone let me know what it is for and if it should be disabled.

I just disabled it and see..

Hav8ing this checked disables all attempts for the client to connect to any of the project servers. If you are disconnected from the internet and do not wish BOINC to establish the connection, you should enable this until you want BOINC to connect.

This applies mostly to modem users. Occasionally it may be used by someone that is expecting a local network outage.

If you are always connected, you should leave this unchecked and let BOINC connect back to the servers whenever it wants to.
