Look, we never implemented an IP ban on the subnet, and I had reached a compromise in that I would remove the posted that had their names, addresses, and phone numbers combinations. However, I did not agree to ban anybody.

I have been told that they have moved to a different ISP and created new email addresses, and still some people felt the need to harass them some more.

After this last round of demands on who should be banned or deleted based on events that happened outside the project or boards, I basically told them, if it happens outside the project, I don't care. I also told him that use of his name in and of itself was not something I'm going to get upset over, it's out in the open and I cannot force people to forget it. I will however get upset if name plus address, ipaddress, email address, or other combination comes out I'll deal with it then.

As far as him posting here again with a new account, well it is a new account, and if he wants to participate in the project he can.

He's not participating.. He is once again threating people. I have stuck to my promise, but he wants to drag me back into this.

Why you can not see that they have created multiple accounts and are constantly negatively rating posts of the people they feel have violated their so-called rights is beyond me.

If we can tell all the negative ratings are coming from multiple accounts created by these mentally deranged people you should be able to even easier.

He once again posted the same message to multiple threads and all you did was delete a message from NA telling him to f**k off..

The people in this forum have seem him for what he really is and had taken up a bandwagon that the moderator of this forum are supposed to do and have failed.

You want to be a moderator then be one.. Check your logs and do something about their continued harassment on this forum. If you feel you need to ban me for a month then so be it.. I don't mind increasing my participation in Einstein@hame

And, I would like to add that since I can only give a '+' rating to someone once, you have some form of record of it because my second attempt displays a page telling me I have already rated this post or whatever, even days later. Check you logs/records Rom, those people have been lurking and '-' rating all over the place, at least since January.

Actually, Rom is in the Right: FotD2's initial post states "The Administrators of this website reserve the right to delete Posts as they wish without prior notice and without recourse for appeal." What's more, there's a reminder "Do not use obscene language or threaten other participants; we may delete such messages." Now I don't think there ought to be deletion for using the "f-word", but that's the admins' call because it's their server - That's why I use this instead.

Returning to topic, I just want to reiterate that I view posting in the Café as a privilige that is earned through crunching. I suggest that you and your colleagues consider implementing access requirements to one hundred credits and an RAC of at least 1. And, yes, that does put me out of the Café if it were enacted right now.

With those two pennies spent, you're the mod, and in the end it's your call.

If the K's werent banned after their massive script attack in the Cafe then they never will be. And since they know that there's no motivation for them to stop, and no motivation for us not to counter-attack.

I deleted his posts, plus NA's where he used an explicative. It was probably something he did in the heat of the moment and nothing I would have worried about on a normal day.

I'll check into the -1 thing, maybe it can be as simple as deleting all accounts that -1 somebody and don't have any RAC or computers.

A better idea would be to prevent people without RAC AND Computers from rating in the first place.

It has been suggested that it would be better if you only allow people who have actually crunched a WU to post to any of the Forums except for the Q&A Threads.

A nice compromise would be to prevent them from rating posts till they crunch..

Thats the key. Keeping from posting AND rating. Otherwise you only solve one problem and not the other.
