I'm doing three projects under Boinc -- Seti, Einstein, and Pirates@home. A day or two ago, I received 6 WU's for Pirates and crunched them (each took around 11 - 12 minutes. The Pirates project has been down, so I couldn't report them.

This afternoon, when I tried to report Einstein WU's (dial-up), I noticed when I clicked "report now" on the Einstein project, there was no Boinc message stating "Sending request to Scheduler ...". I tried Seti -- same thing. I tried going to the Pirates site and it wouldn't load. I disabled network access and exited Boinc (4.25) and restarted. Same thing.

Then I suspended Pirates and tried again. It now worked (Seti and Einstein).

It appears that one project can impact reporting of other projects. This surprised me, but I wasn't in "troubleshoot" mode because I was thinking there was something wrong with my computer or Internet connection.

Anyone else experience something similar?

i had the same problem (broadband StaticIP), didn't try suspending Pirates though. the other part to ADD to this was that i was looking at a remote computer while checking this. when i tried to switch back to local it would say it was localhost but was still on the remote machine. i switched to a different remote machine successfully. switch back to problem unit, and tried to exit the client - I then learned that if you are looking at a remote unit and tell boinc to exit, it exits locally...
i got it to update einstein with a reboot.
