Ok, I tried as many times as I could but BOINC wouldn't connect to any projects. My 4 systems at home will no longer be processing for SETI@home.

That's unfortunate. If you included more information someone may have been able to help you.

Did you connect to a project by entering into BOINC the URL and account ID sent to you from the project?

Yes, I did it all by copying and pasting. I could get it to connect, but it wouldn't do anything past that. I looked through all the tabs and it wasn't doing anything on any of them. There are no settings or options I can manipulate. I was surprised by the lack of functionality within the program. There is no help information or help reference. They went from the simplicity of a screen saver to a program I do not understand.

I had the exact same problem when I started using 4.25. for some reason, a re-install fixed the problems. (did you happen to install it using the "secure install" option?) I installed it as a "single-user install" the second time and it works fine.

WindowsXP 5.1 build 2600 SP2

are you on dial-up, if you are, make sure it is set so that it works while the computer is in use. because being logged on with dial-up counts as being in use while broadband doesn't. I figgured that out yesterday after waiting a while for it to start downloading my data.

some quotes from another message board I visit
"Ah spite, the noblest of human emotions."
"Irony is spelling 'quality' poorly."
"Well I think 'Irony is spelling grammar poorly'"

I have found out that if you load the new verison of seti at home 4.25 that if you reboot your computer it picks up fine and starts working. I run it on 2 computers and after reboot both it worked fine.

Im having the same problem, I have 1 pc that it will just not run on, ive uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted numerous times and it will still do nothing. You cant even set proxy info because the boxes are greyed out. Ive tried both new versions 4.25 and 4.27beta and they are the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated

LOL, I was having the same problem - until I realized I had to attach to a project and enter that emailed info into those fields - seems that wasn't simply stated anyplace obvious enough for me! =)
