Is there any software to view the temperature of CPU's in a system? -------------- Gateway 500GR 2 CPU's GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, (05.01.2600.00) <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=1052&prj=1&trans=off"> <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=749&trans=off"> |

That would only tell me the temp of the mother board and one CPU I need to know the temps of both CPU's ??? <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=1052&prj=1&trans=off"> <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=749&trans=off"> |

> Got Speed fan running averge temp: > 140 F > (60 C) > > Is this an ok temp? Depends on what sort of 'puter it is. Different CPUs have different max core temps and different manufactures decide how close to that they want to run. Many newer mobos have the ability (in BIOS) to chock down the cpu speed x% when it reaches x degrees of temp. BTW, that's warmer than any of mine run except the laptops. - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

COmputer info is in the first post ;) <img src="http://boinc.mundayweb.com/one/stats.php?userID=1052&prj=1&trans=off"> <img src="http://seti.mundayweb.com/stats.php?userID=749&trans=off"> |

> COmputer info is in the first post ;) OK, sorry, I don't have the Intel numbers handy just the AMDs. Two of my AMDs that are actually in a case run between 129F and 134F in a cool a/c'd room. The one clocked as a XP3200 will get into the 140's if the room gets warm. Last summer my wife cut off my a/c in my 'computer room' and it was in the 150s when I got home. It's sitting at 131F-CPU 91F-CASE right now and crunches 24/7. I've slightly upgraded the side intake fans on it and it's got a variable speed CPU fan that's setting at about 75% of it's max right now. - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

first , the computer that you listed is not a dual cpu system. It is a single p4 with hyper treading. H/T allows you to run two two proceses on a single cpu. according to gateway it looks like you have a prescot core p4. 60c is within thermal specs for that cpu. http://support.gateway.com/s/PC/R/3724/3724sp25.shtml |
