When this project started end May 2004, people at Berkeley put some efforts to put relevant news at the homepage, see here.

The very early starters asked to be a little bit more specific and more explicit. Efforts were made by the Berkeley staff: the more the project evolved, the better the news was organized.

Now the news at the homepage is quite clear.

And, what do we see.

Still people apparently don’t know it.
Still people even don’t read it.
Still people are not informed about what will happen or what is going on.

For those who don’t know it.

The NEWS is at the HOMEPAGE, just in the middle of your screen.

Veterans here would find it nice if you could read it before posting complaints or any question related directly to these news.

And most likely it'll continue. Even if the SETI crew put flashing arrows, sound effects, displayed "SERVER DOWN" or "CONNECTION PROBLEMS" in 4 inch high letters and and nude dancer animations to attract attention to the current situation on every page in the SETI web site, there will always be those that ignore it and post a "why can't I connect?" type post because they believe the connection problem is unique to them and them alone.

To truly explore, one must keep an open mind...

Looking around in the massages is a perfect alternative.
That is what I'm doing in case of any failure.
It's a 1 minute step or less.
