Hi, is it possible to either have some sort of a central proxy running on one system or haveing a remote status and command line ? I'm running some systems behind a dial connection. Using SetiProxy, I could run the old clients as all time connected and whenever the proxy system connected to the internet, it updated the proxy caches. With the new client, I could not find a way to either trigger the update centrally or have a proxycache to do the same as setiproxy. Any hints (beside stop working on seti ?) |

Nothing automatic at this time. However you can control the clients over the LAN. Using the 'disable BOINC network access' option in the file menu seems to be the best way to deal with itermittant connections right now. Create a remote_hosts.cfg file on each client with the IP address or name of the controling computer. BOINC WIKI BOINCing since 2002/12/8 |

Hi John, although not perfect, at least one step to a solution. Thanks. Kind regards, teddi |
