I have a computer which I would love to crunch BOINC. It hasn't got any internet access to send/collect. Is there a way I can do this (on the old system I used to copy workunits to a disc and then transfer to the poot with no access?

Unless you can use a proxy, the answer is no. All of the WUs are sent to a specific client in order to shutdown the replay cheats. The replay cheat would be to have software that downloads a WU, and then sends the result from a pre-computed result. This apparently did happen.

Sorry to sound stupid - I assume by proxy you mean a system similar to seti queue? This is an option, I could create a temporary network connection to transfer the workunits? Has there been such software invented now, if so that will be the route for me?

This is a 3ghz poot that I really want to crunch, lol.

The proxy handler is built in to BOINC. All you need to do now is find some proxy software.

Setiqueue may or may not ever be built, as the basic functionality is built into BOINC, and having a different machine do this work was made more difficult by BOINC.
