Hello Josh,

Why making 2 posts when 1 could do it?

BTW, you can still edit a post by using the "Edit this post" you will find just at the top of your post.

As your host(s) is (are) hidden, there are several reasons why a WU can give an error. So, the only way to give you an answer on your question is either unhide your host(s) or find the information inside the log file and post it.

Read the News at the homepage
Have a look at the Technical News
Look if your question is not answered at the Boinc Wiki

Best greetings, Thierry

Hello Josh,

On what subject? The post subject or the error/log subject?

You should be able to find the error, if an error exists, in the "stdoutdae.txt" file. This file is inside the Boinc folder. (assuming you are using Boinc 4.25)

He means you should go to http://boinc-doc.net because Paul has explained everything much better than we would if we were writing a message just for you.

Is there anyway to recover this file on the case it is completed?

In the index for the BOINC Owner's Manual is an entry to the error messages which shold tell you that you had an error in the Science Application for what ever reason.

Because of that, the processing was stopped and the Result was returned as a client error. This means that you will not be able to participate in the quorum of results and will not get any credit for the work attempted.

The other participants that were issued the work unit may experience the same error, or if they are successful in processing the work unit will report success and the science will be added to the database.
