Servers are listed as up, however none of my broadband connected machines can upload (or download?) from BOINC. If it is a connection, instead of server problem, could there be set up a system to check on the connectivity of the servers?

The servers are up and waiting, but the pipe is too crowded.
Look at the Technical News.
