A glance at the network gateway graph shows that the high-speed access to the server went down about an hour ago. [ inr-668 ]

Where can you see the status of the servers?

Well, it happens from time to time. That's why many would suggest you attach to another project as back-up when these things happen ;) Although Predictor is way down at the moment (was not so many days ago as well).

Should we start a new discussion about the definition of the 'Berkeley hour' or the 'Berkeley day'?
Please don't ;)

Uhm, this link is most likely a "normal" 100 Mbit or something, it's atleast a lot more than 10 Mbit. ;)
Earlier all the SETI@home-traffic used this link, and in my recollection they used around 25-30 Mbits before all the connection-problems beginning of 2002. Now the data-servers is using the Cogent-link, while the web-servers uses the old link as it's always used.

You are probabily right. I should have said 'the normal link'.

They could stay down for as long as the whole weekend. But who knows - a scheduled 4 hour down period thursday may have been pulled back to now (oh, well, I don't think so ;)).

But fun things happen - I know, my website has had a few down periods for fun reasons - although at seti they are almost haunted by evil ghosts that make things not so much fun at times - and I'm just guessing, but I do believe the ones that have the least fun with these things are the seti crew...
