One thing I miss from the classic version is the display. With BOINC, the only time you see activity is when the screen saver kicks in. Also, the ability to show a star map of the current WU would be nice. More disappointing is the fact that the tray icon does not show progress when you mouse-over it. This should be a simple feature to add, and I am dismayed that it isn't there. All-in-all, the new 3D screen saver is nice, indeed. But I still prefer the classic SETI client because of the ability to use ancilliary programs like SETI Spy, etc.

yea, id like to see a BOINC Monitor, would be nice.

You can see some activity by using in the tab "Work" the right mouse button. This allows you to select "Show Graphics". You can find a detailed information about the users interface here.

If you'd like to see some progress in the taskbar, there is one program that allows it. It is BoincView. You can download that program here.

You can use SETI@Home MapView and BoincLogX to view the WU on a starmap ;-)
