I am on an iMac G5 OS10.3.8 running CETI and Einstein projects. Have been cranking along fine for several days but had to restart my Mac several times after uninstalling Norton Personal Firewall (not being used for several months). The BOINC Menubar disappeared from the menubar after the restarts so I reopened it from it's file on the Desktop. Now the Log (accessed through the BOINC Menubar) says only: [---]Another instance of BOINC is running (along with the date and time) No other activity is being logged. I've tried doing Updates in the Manage Projects menu but all I get is additional entries as noted above. I'm ignorant of UNIX and stay away from Terminal unless "cookbooking". I'm using iPulse to monitor system activity and it shows Seti and Einstein apparently being worked on as planned but the Menubar drop down says "None Running" and "Work Completed". Any ideas as to why the Log isn't showing any activity? Where did I go wrong? Is it my deodorant/mouthwash/taste in music? Or just plain stupidity? Will Cushman San Diego |

An update: I read Martin P.'s post and it seemed to be the same problem I was experiencing. I went into Activity Monitor and stopped the boinc and BOINC Menubar processes, then restarted the BOINC Menubar. The log now correctly shows the activities. Will San Diego |
