I'd like to have some stickies, but closed ones with hints about behaviour, news to n00bs, helpful links to the manual....
They would perfectly fit in the Q&P part, where none occured up to now.

Some shorttime stickies, for outages, France Telecom etc. would be fine s well.

A milestone thread is imho not worth of being sticky.

I hope you're not blaming me about the stickiness of this thread. I had nothing to do with it and was quite surprised about it too. Only the mods have control over what's sticky and what's not. Sorry.... >:-(

Anyway, while my team has passed the 100k overall BOINC milestone, I'm getting very close to the 60k - not to mention I've passed the 20k seti milestone :)

I do several alpha BOINC Projects
not listed and two Non-BOINC Projects.....

My Individual stats have dropped
for my favorite projects but I feel
I am making an overall contribution
to the BOINC Cause........

Milestones comming up soon...

We are but a small merry band of disfunctional folks, but we do try hard....I'm sure that there is a milestone in here somewhere!

Because when i come to the forums i like to see what's current, not what isn't.
If people get carried away with sticky threads then we'll end up having to scroll down a dage or several to find active threads.

The thread at the top is the one that has most recently had a post, the ones down the bottom least recently.
Of course if we go the way of sticky threads the the top posts could be hours, days, weeks old.

Why wade through rubbish when previously it wasn't necessary to do so?

Hello,

to get this on topic again, I just created a new thread for the general sticky discussion, so that this one is back to braggin' ;)

Don't worry Sanger, you must have some pull here, this thread is no longer sticky. Your wish came through!

The general consensus I thought I was seeing I guess I wasn't actually seeing... so with both Mr. Vulcan Dude and the one who brought up the initial question about if it should be stickied or not agreeing it should be stickied....

The thread is sticky again!

OK, just a quick toot of my own horn...passed 100K today. I've been working for that for awhile now--pretty proud of that :)

Congrats to everyone else hitting milestones too!
