There is a work unit whose status for the last day and a half is "ready to report." A new work unit is being processed. Is there something special that I have to do to upload the results?

Thanks

No.
Unless you want your credits asap.
uploading is a two step process:
1. Upload the result to the database server
2. Report this to the scheduler and claim credit

Boinc will do this on it's own, when it decides, that not enough work is available for the remaining time 'til next contact. With this DL the report will be done as well.

BTW:
A good manual for Boinc is Paul D. Bucks BOINC Powered Projects Documentation and his FAQ therein.

For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki

You keep pointing us to that FAQ, but I still can't find the information I need there -- HOW DO I SEND MY REPORTS? It downloaded a new workunit that is sitting there waiting to start, however my 100% done workunit keeps running.

As I said here:

You can do this manually, if you update manually. Depending on your Boinc version:
4.25: goto projects tab and chose update
4.19: goto projects tab, rightclick and chose update

Thanks, I think. I'm not a computer novice, but that manual is WAY too technical for me to dig through when all I need are simple answers. oh well.
