If you haven't already you'll need to compile the seti_boinc client yourself (source: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/source/) as the "not found" error means there is no precompiled binary for your platform.

After compiling you'll need to creat an app_info.xml file in your project directory (e.g. ~/boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu) and put the path to your newly compiled client in it (as described here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/anonymous_platform.php.)

I think I just found out my mistake,
I had compiled the Boinc software but not the seti one, doing it now.
