For the linux client a -daemon option that just makes it run in the background without polling for input from the terminal. |

If you want Boinc run as a daemon, you can just set it up by yourself, it isn't really complicated. There are also two scripts posted at the beta test board which can be used to install and run it as a daemon: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/ap/forum/thread.php?id=1525 --- KEINE PANIK |

It would make setting it up, and upkeep alot easier, especially across multiple machines |

The following should do the job nohup boinc & leave the session with "exit", dont kill it. boinc contiues to run. |
