hi
my boinc doesn't working more than 2 months
i try many changes but without succes.
my preferebces:
Processor usage
Do work while computer is running on batteries?
(matters only for portable computers) no
Do work while computer is in use? yes
Do work only between the hours of 23:00 and 15:00
Leave applications in memory while preempted?
(suspended applications will consume swap space if 'yes') no
Switch between applications every
(recommended: 60 minutes) 60 minutes
On multiprocessors, use at most 1 processors
Disk and memory usage
Use no more than 5 GB disk space
Leave at least 0.1 GB disk space free
Use no more than 50% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every 60 seconds
Use no more than 80% of total virtual memory
Network usage
Connect to network about every
(determines size of work cache; maximum 10 days) 3 days
Confirm before connecting to Internet?
(matters only if you use a modem) no
Disconnect when done?
(matters only if you use a modem) no
Maximum download rate: 800 KB/s
Maximum upload rate: 128 KB/s

my system sources: RAM 768MB IDE 120GB - 8GB free
AMD 1.1GHz Internet conection cable 2048/256kbit/s
my pc is running 24hrs/day
client BOINC 4.19
WIN xp sp2
Please help me ASAP (now i working on classic seti but i am near 750wu ) thanks to help

Can you start the program Boinc?

If you can , can you post some relevant messages from the tab "Messages" of the GUI?

Did the problems begun after installing SP2 of Win XP Pro? I yes, you need to configure the build-in firewall of Win XP.

you cannot run seti classic and boinc and expect them to both do anything at the same time.
they are both idle processes and one will work on the idle time available to the detriment of the other.

I can start my boinc client.

I did work on winXP SP2 without problems, but one day my client sent all done results but didnt download new wu.
Firewall on winxp is able to conect my client with server on berkley.

I am sorry that i didn't explain it: When i couldn't run boinc i terminate boinc and past it run classic seti

Moreover i hope that cpu load not depending on downloading of wu.
(i want download some wu, i thing that mast it boinc will come to work.
to aviod missunderstanding: boinc didn't and don't wu from server, but can conect to server (can check my preferences) .
